What the customer needs to control.
Vantage Workspace combines business applications and named AI Workers in a single-tenant environment. Customer-hosted and dedicated hosting arrangements need an explicit operating agreement. Work through these boundaries before live data enters the pilot.
- Infrastructure and custody
- Agree who operates the tenant, where primary data and backups live, and who can restore them.
- Models and external services
- Name every approved model route and service destination. Review support access, retained copies and the relevant contracts.
- Human authority
- Name the reviewer for each consequential action. Test approval and rejection against the source system.
- Evidence and exit
- Agree what can be exported, how long records are retained, and how an independent reviewer retrieves them.
A review the buyer can repeat.
- Choose a synthetic task with an agreed source and expected output. Record the identity, configuration and evidence date.
- Prepare a consequential action and reject it. Inspect the decision record, then check the source system independently for changes.
- Retrieve the evidence from outside the original chat. Document anything the reviewer cannot establish and assign an owner to each open question.
A pass belongs to the tested workflow and configuration. It does not establish every connector, future model route or customer deployment.
What Canadian operation means here.
Handvantage is a British Columbia-based firm. Canadian-operated describes our company; it does not assert that every customer tenant, subcontractor or model endpoint is in Canada. Those choices belong in the deployment and supplier review.
A Canadian server address does not remove foreign jurisdiction, establish government endorsement or confer a procurement preference. The relevant contracts, corporate relationships and access arrangements still need review.
Vantage's eleven base evidence templates include Canada's Treasury Board Directive on Automated Decision-Making, labelled TBSDADM. Templates organise evidence; they do not certify an organisation or decide whether a directive applies.
The federal directive has a defined institutional and use-case scope. A private supplier should establish the applicable departmental and contract requirements rather than describe all Canadian AI use as covered. See the Treasury Board scope guide.
